The Forestry area
The forest in Skarðdalur is the northernmost planted forest in Iceland. Its origins date back to 1950, when the Siglufjörður Forestry Association received the southern part of Skarðdalur land, an area of approximately 5.5 hectares, from the town of Siglufjörður.
